Melissa,
As is probably the case 8 out of 10 times, the loving couple a week or two from their wedding date receive their Ketubah from you - love it - and forget to write thanks or package received. Well that's us, we got the package and it looks great. We really dig it and appreciate how easy the process was. Will refer in the future!

...the ketubah is glorious!!! Michael and I didn't realize that the red of the flowers was actually created by a cut out with a red matte behind it!!! The effect is exquisite. We will cherish the ketubah for the rest of our lives and we thank you ... for your talents and professionalism
All the best to you...

Melissa,
I just got back to Atlanta from a couple of thousands of miles of driving since Saturday, but Rick and I got married in Connecticut as planned. The ketubah was signed and all four of our guests were suitably impressed with it.
The attached pictures are low-resolution photos and probably will not print well. I have a c.d. coming that will have several high resolution digital photos that I will send along later.
You aided greatly in our 25th anniversary/marriage event, and I thank you sincerely.
I will tout your fabulousness to any and all – especially thru the Reconstructionist synagogue I attend here in Atlanta.
You may, at your discretion, use me an enthusiastic reference: you may use my name. initials, and/or email address at will.
Patrick Crane (Atlanta, GA)

David, Rebecca, Ilona,
Thank you so much for taking the time to write, particularly given how extremely busy you must be getting ready for the wedding! I'm so pleased that you're so happy with the ketubah and chuppah canopy! You have all been just delightful to work with.
Please let me know if you have any questions at all, either before or after the wedding, and have a wonderful wedding!
Best,
Melissa

it was the highlight of our day -- there was some tearing over the beautiful text and much oohing and aahing, we are extremely pleased :) Rebecca

Dear Melissa,
My husband Mike and I think the ketubah you made for us is beautiful. As I was looking online at examples of ketubahs, there was just something special and different about your designs which stood out for me. I liked the fact that it was so easy to talk to you in person. We appreciate that you were able to get the ketubah to us so quickly, since we were right on the edge time-wise! Also, your instructions for presentation were excellent – very detailed and a big help. Thank you for this beautiful work of art which we will treasure!

Dear Melissa,
The entire process of ordering our ketubah was great. It was extremely easy on your website to order and it was the best decision to go straight through the artist. The red border looks great and was unexpected. When we took it to get framed, the store all agreed that it was the prettiest they have seen (& they have seen a lot!)

Dear Melissa,
Thank you so much for creating such a beautiful and meaningful ketubah for our wedding. You gave us a huge gift — a ketubah for our commitment and a stunning piece of artwork that we look at daily to remind us of our love. It wasn't easy finding one for two women — and interfaith! — so thank you for offering such an incredible ketubah.
You made the whole process a joy.
Thanks again,

Dear Melissa,
Thank you! The ketubah is fantastic!
You are welcome to use photos on your website. Go to www.pictage.com — search for Kletter (Evan & Alicia). You will have to register. There are some ketubah photos under "signing the ketubah" & "reception details." There might be others — feel free to browse all photos looking for what you might need. We displayed ketubah on easel next to cake under chuppah for reception. Now it's at home, framed and I'll email you a photo of that.
[We will absolutely recommend your services!] We ordered our ketubah the month before our wedding and were worried about running out of time. You were calming and reassuring. The ketubah was delivered quickly and is absolutely amazing! It added to our wedding day and now looks beautiful in our home.

Dear Melissa,
Thank you for our ketubah. We love it. It is beautiful. Thank you for being so wonderful to work with. Everything I contacted you, you wrote back promptly. I particularly liked that I was speaking with/ordering from a real person, and not a big company. I knew you were committed to answering my questions because the product was yours!
Also, thank you for the detail in the care-for-your-ketubah documents. They were extremely helpful — we got the exact right matting, plastic cover, pens — and no handprints!
Thank you,

Melissa,
We picked up the ketubah yesterday and it is absolutely perfect. More beautiful than we could have imagined--more beautiful, in fact, than any ketubah we've seen.
I'm not Jewish, and before Lee and I were together I didn't know what a ketubah was. In shopping, we also ran into a few problems... mainly with interfaith text that emphasized our differences. We wanted a document that articulated, plainly and eloquently, the intense bond and irreplaceable friendship we have. When we read your interfaith text, we knew we'd choose one of your ketubot.
I don't know if I've told you this, but our ceremony is taking place at Unity Temple (photos here: http://unitytemple-utrf.org/), which is a Frank Lloyd Wright building. When we saw the Arts & Crafts Roses on your web site, we knew we found the perfect document to hang in our home to remember our day and the vows we made (or will make on Sunday!).
Sorry to be going on and on. What I want to say is thank you. What a wonderful service you provide! I wish you continued success, and have already sent others to your site.
All best,
Jennifer (Oak Park, IL)

Dear Melissa Dinwiddie,
Thank you for providing us with exquisite and beautiful ketubahs for our wedding day. Thank you also for coming through to solve the last-minute crisis so that our ketubahs were perfectly written and prepared for signing on the next day.
The beautiful design—modern, yet romantic—epitomizes our bond. Your moving text, so wisely written for couples that share values of equality in partnership across cultures and religions, was incorporated into our wedding and formed the basis of the commitments we made to each other.
Thank you for giving words to our happiness. We look forward to spending our life together in light of the beautiful words and spirit of our ketubah.
Our deepest thanks and happiest wishes,
Richard and Einat (Israel and Germany)

Dear Melissa,
I am not someone who really had trouble communicating. Generally, I find that words come easily to me. Which is why it is utterly surprising that I was absolutely speechless when I saw our ketubah for the first time. Even in its currently undecorated state, the ketubah is breathtaking.
I would be remiss if I didn't take a moment to thank you for all that you did for Linda and I in the weeks leading up to our ceremony. Our decision to even have a ketubah at our wedding came late in the process. Add to that our request that you create a round, female-only text, and print it as a personalized do-it-yourself piece, it's a miracle you even answered my email in the first place! It made it with days to spare, a miracle all its own.
I was unprepared for the flood of emotions I experienced when we sat down at the table as newlyweds to sign our ketubah. It was amazing! Thank you for adding a perfect element to our special day.
Sincerely,
Jen (Hoffman Estates, IL)

Dear Melissa,
It was my first experience and I knew nothing about the process. The first thing that impressed me was the fact that you answered the phone call. It was comforting to me to know I was speaking with the artist herself. I asked a lot of questions & you seemed sincere with your answers. I wanted to learn about the whole process & you obliged. The ketubah that arrived at our home really reflects who we are as a couple. We couldn't be happier...

Hi Melissa,
I hope that you and your family are well and you are enjoying a lot of simchas.I would like you to know that our wedding occurred last Sunday and everyone had a fantastic time. Dear Melissa,
Thank you so much for the beautiful ketubah. Not only will our piece add so much to our wedding day but it will also then find a special place in our home. We love the look as well as the quality of the work. Everything about the process was easy and made this part of the wedding a breeze. The proof allowed us to make sure it would all be correct and the care instructions were a lifesaver.
Thanks for everything!

Dear Melissa,
My wife and I were thoroughly satisfied with our ketubah. As you know, choosing the right ketubah is a long process and we second guessed ourselves many times before finally making our choice. When we received the ketubah we knew we had made the right one. The ketubah was gorgeous, the calligraphy impeccable, and the entire process was easy and (almost) worry free.

melissa!
this is Nathalie in south beach. i never thanked you for the magnificent Ketubah that you produced for danny and yuko for their wedding may 30th, 2004.
there was a large contingent of japanese family at the wedding; and they were all in awe of the ketubah. yuko herself burst into tears when she first saw it.
it is now beautifully framed and hanging in the young couple's living room. and if i wasnt such a computer moron, i would attach same for you to see>:( !
thank you for your creativity and integrity.
miraculously, i made it to the wedding after my hideous accident. it was a blessed affair, and the ketubah gift added to the wonder of the occasion.
best regards,

Dear Melissa -
I just wanted to send you a couple of photos from our wedding day. It was just this past Sunday (August 8th). It was a perfect day - could not have imagines anything better. Of course, your Ketubah was much talked about. My cousin framed it in between the ceremony and the reception so that it could be displayed at it's finest. So, I have attached a photo of the ketubah as well as a photo of us so that you can see who will cherish your beautiful artwork for the rest of our lives.
With deep gratitude,

Dear Melissa -
We wanted to thank you for our beautiful ketubah. The guests at our committment ceremony all were moved by the artwork and the text. Around here, most folks go down to the chassidic community in Muncie, NY for their ketubahs. If one isn't an Orthodox Jew (forget it totally if you are GLBT), the experience often is not so pleasant. And the calligraphy is not nearly so beautiful as yours. So, I've been spreading the word in the Jewish community here about your work.
Best wishes and many thanks,
Andrea & Nancy (Esopus, NY)

Hi Melissa,
Just wanted to let you know belatedly how much we love your gorgeous ketubah! Its beauty and the egalitarian English both added an extra, wonderful dimension to the meaningfulness of our wedding. As soon as things settle down in the post honeymoon period, we are going to frame it and keep it near our bed so we can look at it all the time! I think it will help inspire us to act nobly when we get grumpy with each other in future years....

Melissa,
Our ketubah is the most stunning piece of artwork on our walls. It blew people away at the wedding & continues to do so whenever we have guests. Sometimes when I read it, I still get tears in my eyes. The pomegranites on the tree and the irises surrounding the tree hold more meaning for us that you can imagine. Which is in addition, of course, to the tree of life itself, and the lovely interfaith gender nuetral wording, that perfectly fit our interfaith lesbian wedding, and its themes.
Lots of luck & love to you!
Samantha (TX)

I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how pleased we were with our ketubah. The picture on the web did not do justice to the exquisite piece of artwork that we received. Dear Melissa,
I don't know if you remember me, but about this time last year you and I were putting together what I think was your first limited edition print of your Tree of Life ketubah. I don't think I ever told you what a beautiful, wonderful and special part your work played on the day of our wedding and certainly now as it hangs on the wall in our home. I have had the opportunity to see many other ketubah prints since then and none have ever compared to ours, for the beauty, wording, personalization, design, colors...everything!

Our wedding gift from my sisters has the permanent framing and when people come to our home they always first remark about what a beautiful piece of artwork it is and then how very beautiful the words are. Most recently one of our friends asked if it was a collage, the definition is so extraordinary.

I checked out your web site this morning and I'm pleased to see that you have expanded your print line. I'm also very happy to been there at the start and very proud of our print #1.

I wish you much continued success.

Warm regards,
Wendy (Rabinowitz) Carey
PS-Yes, please use my letter as a testimonial on your web site. And so I don't embarrass myself, please also feel free to correct any typos (in rereading it I noticed that "every" should be "ever" in the first paragraph). You may also feel free to give my name and email address as a reference if anyone asks for one.

If any of your exhibitions ever bring close to the Albany, NY area I hope you will let me know. I would love to see some of your other work.

Hi Melissa,
We just wanted to say that our rabbi was quite taken by the ketubah -- both the text and the design. When he was reading it before the ceremony he kept mumbling how nice it was, and he couldn't help complimenting it during the ceremony as well. We'll give him your contact info, and he may be sending people your way.
